HeartPrints Parenting

Supporting children, parents, and families since 2001!

Most parents would agree that parenting is the hardest job they’ve ever known.

As parents, we’re expected to know how to do this very complex job with no instruction manual, no experience, no training. The only tools in our tool belt are the ones we may have learned while growing up, which are often inadequate.

Heartmanity teaches easy-to-implement and proven solutions for the most difficult parenting situations. Sometimes one small tweak or one little awareness has the leverage to totally shift a parent to a new perspective that opens up communication and lets the love shine through. Heartmanity lightens the load with much-needed skills and a whole new mindset that transforms the way you see your children and their behavior.

“Loving and respectful behavior from children is a natural outcome
of secure attachment and unconditional love.” — Jennifer A. Williams

A personal note from Jennifer

Hey listen, I know a reliable compass probably sounds too good to be true. When my husband and I had our first child, it was clear that my past clouded my ability to be an effective and loving parent.

I’ve worked hard to be a loving parent. But what I didn’t know is that you can only parent as lovingly as you love yourself. Otherwise, our unresolved pain and hidden unconscious patterns pop out like pop-tarts out of a hot toaster and wreak havoc.

Because I had rough beginnings, I’ve studied extensively how to be a loving, responsive human being and parent.

And honestly, everything that I’ve learned boils down to these unchanging truths:

  • Honor the needs and inner guide of the child and yourself
  • Cultivate and value the relationship between you and your child at all times

No techniques needed. No tricks to get children to behave. All loving and respectful behavior stems from needs being met and from a strong, loving relationship between the child and the parent.

Every parent I’ve ever met likes “easier” because our lives are very full, often even hectic. But when you add “proven and effective” skills, they’re elated. My goal is to teach you not only skills based on brain science but also to give you a foolproof parenting guide that you can carry with you at all times. It will unlock the best in you and your children!

There really is a comprehensive, foolproof parenting guide. Find out how to use the compass of your heart to course-correct instantly.

Parenting from the heart is the only sure-fire way to know how to respond lovingly and effectively moment by moment.

  • Language and behavior“Hold on a minute! Just because I’m little doesn’t mean I don’t have really important things to say! And it’s pretty hard to express myself when I’m still learning the language!” For greater understanding on what a vital role language plays in behavior, read my article Cowboys and Cognitive Aliens.
  • Eliminate power struggles instigated by a child's needs“Oh, one more thing…It’s true, I’m new at this thing called life, but that’s why I have an insatiable hunger for exploration and development. My brain is producing billions of cells and forming billions of connections between those cells! Learning is my full-time job. Trying to compete with my developmental needs is futile.” Learn crucial keys to eliminating power struggles instigated by a child’s needs.
  • Early childhood development“I really do want to cooperate, mom and dad! But ya gotta understand that I don’t have just one brain, I’ve got three—and sometimes they want different things! I might be a little preoccupied when you ask me to put away my toys.”
